Big Decisions and Pivots

Hi everyone! Amelia here talking to all of you. Granted I’m the only one associated with The Morse Actors Studio, but one day I hope to have others teaching and coaching Actors and Public Speakers.

Anyway, I wanted to give you all an update on what the future holds for The Morse Actors Studio. From the beginning I was torn between whom I should focus on - Actors or Public Speakers. I have chased after both, sometimes separately and other times simultaneously. I can’t do both. I have to choose one right now. (Please note I said ‘now,’ not forever.) I’m choosing Actors.

When I look at my other blog posts, my materials I want to share with all of you, and even when I speak to people I talk a lot in theatre/actor speak. It’s where my training and my heart is.

I’ll still have offers and the ability to coach Public Speakers - both in-person and in a virtual platform, but that’s not where I’m going to put my focus right now.

I have over 15 years of experience through education, teaching/coaching, and being an Actor myself. I can serve my clients and future clients in this field with much more confidence and knowledge.

I continue to train as an Actor and as a Theatre and Film Educator. As I said, this is where my heart and passion is and I can’t deny what fits me. I can’t continue to try to put myself in a box or bend myself to be and do things that aren’t fitting to me. I’m human and have done that many times and will continue to do so. For me that’s one way I learn what doesn’t work for me. I try it one for a while and I know it’s time to leave it when it doesn’t fit me. I’m not a quitter, but I do believe that it’s wise to know when to let go of something that clearly doesn’t serve you and may be having a negative impact in your life - both personal and professional.

I feel free with this decision. I feel free to create content with confidence. I look forward over the next few weeks to bring you all some amazing content here on my blog and YouTube channel over the coming weeks.

Thank you to my friends and family for their love and support. I also appreciate you right now reading this. My amazing followers on Instagram and Facebook who have continued to support me while I work through starting this business and finding my way. Words honestly will never be able to express the depth of gratitude I have for all of you.

Thank you again and stay tuned for more announcements coming soon!

Break a leg!
