• Our Statement of Purpose

At The Morse Actors Studio people are encouraged to focus on being their best selves. Instead of getting caught up in the competition, we focus on bringing out our strengths as individuals while working hard to strengthen our weaknesses. We are all unique and have many talents. Why not come to a place where we recognize those talents and help you find ways to incorporate them when approaching the work.

We also recognize that we are all unique as Actors and as people. We work hard to continue to uplift our students and clients for who they are. We strive to connect our Actors with characters that connect distinctly to them.

Our objective is to help you understand the “why” behind your choices. When you know this then you are able to do your best work. There’s more to the work than just being able to speak without feeling scared, it’s having the tools and knowing how they operate to your advantage.

    Our Mission

    The Morse Actors Studio

We believe in creating better spaces. We are continuously partaking in workshops, events, and self-learning to learn and grow.

We don’t believe in perfection, we believe in authenticity. Sometimes is can be great, and other times it can be a disaster. Good or bad, we and our students/clients take it as a lesson to be better.

    Our Story

The Morse Actors Studio was founded by Amelia Morse Kolkmeyer in July 2019. She began this studio to offer adult education to the Actors in Nothern Colorado, and its surrounding area.

The Morse Actors Studio was created to create a space for Actors at all levels of their Acting journey. Our goal is to create an educational space where people know they are seen and heard. We strive to teach our Actors to add things to their Actors Toolbox that they can take with them so they can be confident, brave Actors.

The work is never done with us as a Studio, us as individuals, and us as Theatre Makers.

    What We Offer

At The Morse Actors Studio we offer a wide variety of ways to help you learn, and prepare as an Actor or Public Speaker.

For folks that are needing one time services, we offer 1:1 Coaching, Consultations, and Resume Reviews.

We have monthly Audition Workshop for our Actors. It meets once a month and is a way for Actors to meet other Actors and get some quick coaching.

We also have our coaching programs for Actors and Public Speakers.

The Actors Mentorship Program is our program to help Actors get better at auditioning and booking the job.

For our Public Speakers we have "The Authentic Speaker." A coaching program to train and coach Public Speakers and Business Owners to better understand their platforms and connect authentically with their audiences.

The Morse Actors Studio Policies

These are the policies and procedures outlined by The Morse Actors Studio (TMAS). By reading and signing you are agreeing to abide by them.

Attendance Policy -

Students are expected to come fully prepared to work. This means, but is not limited to having done a full vocal and physical warm-up prior to the workshop/class/coaching session. Having all of their materials with them (copy of monologue and or script, pencil, paper or device for taking notes, water bottle, etc), having their lines completely memorized, have read the play the monologue/scene is from, etc. These are important because they add to the understanding of the student and teacher/coach to do their best work possible.

Students need to arrive promptly 10 minutes prior to coaching session. That way time is not wasted settling in to the space.

Students who are more than 10 minutes late may have their session cancelled or not allowed to participate at the discretion of the teacher/coach.

Payments -

Payment for any workshop, class, or private coaching session given by The Morse Actors Studio must be paid in full and in advance. After payment is received you will receive an electronic confirmation within 24 hours of receiving it.

Private Coaching Session(s) - After payment is received for a private coaching session we will reach out within 48 hours to schedule your session(s). It is helpful if you email us with any specific dates and times you have in mind, but it is not required. We are available for private coaching Monday - Friday after 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

General Policies -

TMAS has a zero tolerance policy on harassment of any kind. Any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and can lead to the dismissal of the student without a refund for the workshop/class/coaching session.

Prior to entering the space please turn off all electronic and noise making devices as they can cause a distraction to the work being done.

No food or drink except for water in a secure container is allowed in the space.

As a general rule we are guests in the areas where TMAS presents workshops/classes/coaching sessions and are required to follow their rules as well.

Please dress appropriately to what the workshop/class/coaching session stipulates.

Cancellation Policies -

There are no refunds given for any reason. If you are unable to attend a workshop/class/coaching session for any reason you must contact TMAS prior to the event in order for you to get a credit. Your credit may only go towards what you originally paid for and has to be used within 6 months of the date of the original event you sign up for.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a private coaching session, this must be done prior to the date and time of the coaching session. A makeup session is allowed once, after that the student forfeits that particular session and no refund or any other makeups will be given.
